36th Annual Blueberry Festival

The 36th Annual Blueberry Festival runs from June 22 to June 23, 2019, in Whitesbog Historic Village in Browns Mills, New Jersey. The festival mimics an old-fashioned fair with artists, folk music, crafts, field games and the opportunity to pick your own blueberries. This is the perfect event to try blueberry inspired recipes, including blueberry ice cream.

10th Annual Rock, Ribs & Ridges Festival

A ten-year tradition of music and barbecue returns this year for two days, June 29 to June 30, 2019. Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes and 38 Special will be your outdoor entertainment, along with five fantastic BBQ Pitmasters. Festival-goers can choose to camp and enjoy local craft beers as well.

Freedom Festival

Celebrate the Fourth of July this year at the famous Freedom Festival, located at Wiggins Waterfront Park in Camden, New Jersey. The event runs from 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm on July 4, 2019 and is filled with music until the fireworks show at 9:30 pm.

144th Annual Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Italian Festival

The longest running Italian- American festival goes for five days from July 10 to July 16, 2019, at the Mt. Carmel Festival Grounds in Hammonton, New Jersey. In addition to plenty of Italian food, guests can expect to enjoy beer and wine gardens, live entertainment, carnival rides and games for kids and adults, fireworks, and the famous procession of saints.

Surf & Turf Seafood Festival

This is the perfect event for those that love sand, surf, and seafood. On July 13 and July 14, 2019, the festival is held at the Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport, New Jersey. Families and individuals of all ages can eat their way through the festival, with a family fun day on Sunday, July 14, 2019. Kids can enjoy pony rides, face painting, and bounce house fun. Parking and admission are each five dollars.

Summer Fest

Held annually on the last Saturday of the month at Rutgers Gardens, the Summer Fest returns on July 27, 2019, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. The festival is produced by Rutgers Gardens Summer Internship program to help teach interns the various responsibilities involved in event planning. Visitors can enjoy a variety of tastings and tours of vegetables, herbs, and plants developed at Rutgers University.
